We are probably the best live music venue in Watford and have been bringing live music to you since 2001, while remaining a traditional pub. We welcome all ages until 8pm daily, after which time its over-18’s only. We are a big, air-conditioned open bar with a large capacity and big enclosed beer garden. Whether you’re coming in for lunch, looking for a great evening of live music, just popping in for a drink or looking for a good pint of real ale (all our pumps carry the cask mark) we are the place for you, and our very friendly & accommodating staff will do all they can to help.

    

We also have free Wi-Fi available for customers – ask for details at the bar.

We were voted “BEST BAR NONE” bar/venue in Watford in 2008 & 2009, and have also been voted “BEST LIVE MUSIC VENUE IN THE SOUTH EAST” by the industry.

Music is our passion

We pride ourselves in bringing a wide variety of live music to suit everyone’s taste, everything from young local talent to big name acts, top tribute and covers bands, and even traditional jazz. We have live music most nights, while Friday night we have one of our resident DJ’s “on the decks” through till early in the morning. We also provide music on special occasions including some themed nights, e.g. for New Year’s Eve, and on Bank Holidays, if the weather is nice, we will try to put the band in the garden so you can still enjoy the sunshine.

We owe a big THANK YOU to Barry from Fretz Music Store in Hemel Hempstead for helping us out with our in-house PA system, making sure we are always up to date in the ever expanding world of music systems ensuring we will always be able to meet the ever more demanding needs of the modern band, and we have our own resident sound engineer.

Other Activities & Entertainment

In addition to our music events, we also put on occasional cabaret evenings, and we have our occasional “RRRANTS!!” open forum for independent poets & performers of all genres. Please see our gig guides for information.

Although primarily a music pub, we are also avid supporters of Watford Football Club, and before Saturday home matches we hold a pre-match football quiz, and have a pre-match “fast food” menu.

Having a party or get together & looking for a venue?

We have helped numerous people solve their "where to have" that special party or get-together! In the present economic climate, a party at The Horns could be the answer - AND save you a lot of expense as we don’t charge any hire fees!
